Early detection is crucial in the fight against breast cancer. but unfortunately current methods of breast cancer detection, including Mammography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) are costly, inaccurate and difficult to administer. This makes early detection inaccessible, and error prone.

There is a clear need for reliable, non-invasive and inexpensive early breast cancer detection methods. Particular interest has been given to tumour markers for their usefulness in cancer screening, diagnosis, prognosis and therapy response assessment.

Sera Scientific is in the process of researching and developing an early stage breast cancer detection method which only requires a blood sample from patients.
